What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Nurse position at Ashland Middle School?
The Ashland Public Schools is seeking to hire a long term substitute registered nurse for the Ashland Middle School. This is a five day per week position starting April 7 2025 until the remainder of this school year, reporting to the head nurse and school principal.
Job Summary:
Implements students individualized health care plans as developed by staff school nurses
Provides medication administration, episodic care to all students
Responds to students’ and staff health needs
Uses electronic health information system (SNAP) to document student/staff encounters
Communicates with parents, faculty and medical providers as needed
Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act, the guidelines of care established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), and works in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Ashland Public Schools.
Requirements:
The candidate must possess a current Massachusetts license to practice as a registered nurse
Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
