Position Description:
Responsibilities of the special education teacher include, but are not limited to: direct instruction both in and out of the regular education classroom setting, development of all aspects associated with the follow-through of Individualized Education Plans, academic achievement evaluations, and collaboration. Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lesson plan design and development, administering and analyzing assessments, parent communication, working collaboratively with service providers, education support personnel, and regular education staff.
DESE MA licensure special education teacher (9-12), specific certification in reading programs (OG, Wilson), along with strong skills in data collection, differentiating instruction, and effective coteaching strategies preferred.
