What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Ashland Food Cooperative?
Job Summary: Create imaginative, effective and accurate visual material to attract customers and promote sales within our established brand. Provide ongoing support to Department Managers and Buyers on POS and graphic design issues.
General Responsibilities:
- Design and produce visual materials, including, but not limited to large posters, banners, sales flyers, customer billboard and brochures.
- Produce and design store signage including informative and promotional signs in conjunction with Department Managers.
- Research, create, maintain and organize a product picture database.
- Research, create, maintain and organize a picture, artwork and illustration library to be used for the customer billboard.
- Produce artwork and layouts for written publications and products and other visual materials.
- Advise staff on creative graphic options in keeping with our brand guidelines.
- Work as an integral part of the definition and maintenance of AFC's brand identity, and setting the design strategy for AFC.
- Although no formal supervisory responsibilities, may act as lead worker, may train new employees and/or review the work of outside contractors.
- Assist in website maintenance as assigned.
