What are the responsibilities and job description for the County Highway Worker F/T position at Ashland County Engineer?
The Ashland County Engineer is accepting applications for the position of Highway Worker. This transportation position requires a Class A or Class B CDL. Full-time position utilizes construction equipment as needed from hand tools to heavy machinery in order to construct and maintain county roads and bridges and create safe driving conditions. Schedule from Labor Day to early May is 5 - 8 hour days, M-F. From Early May to Labor Day 4 - 10 hour days, M-Th. Position responds to weather and emergency events outside regular work hours. Position responsibilities change with the seasons. Starting wage is $21.00/hour, plus overtime and rich benefits package which includes:
