Job Description Summary
Manages numerous state aid programs offered by North Carolina Community College System.

Duties
1. Administers State grant programs and certifies funds on external College Foundation, Inc. state grant portal and ensures funds
are accurately disbursed to students.
2. Reconciles state grant funds with Business Office on a semesterly and annual basis.
3. Calculates return to Title IV calculations for state grants.
4. Assists Director of Financial Aid with federal, state, and institutional reporting.
5. Builds Informer reports for departmental and institutional needs.
6. Assists with verifying manual Maximum Timeframe financial aid satisfactory academic progress calculations
7. Leads converting programs from semester to clock hours and contact hours conversions.
8. Assists with state aid transmittal process.
9. Assists with annual setup process.
10. Resolves student issues and refers to next-level supervisor as needed.
11. Trouble-shoots problems that occur in Colleague system as related to the Financial Aid process.
12. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
13. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. Associate’s degree;
2. One year of full-time or equivalent experience working in a Financial Aid office or Student Services.

Preferred Qualifications
1. One year of full-time or equivalent work experience with North Carolina State Grants.
2. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Your total compensation goes beyond this maximum salary. Your A-B Tech benefits represent nearly 30% of your total compensation.
