What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at ASHE Society?
The Inventory Associate plays a key role in supporting ASHE Society’s Santa Ana store by accurately receiving, organizing, tracking, and replenishing product inventory. This role ensures all cannabis products are compliant, well-maintained, and readily available to support daily sales operations. Accuracy, consistency, and strong communication are essential in this position.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive and verify all incoming product deliveries
- Ensure all product movement (intake, backstocking, transfers, recalls, waste, destruction) follows California DCC regulations and ASHE Society SOPs
- Track inventory discrepancies, recalls, and reporting issues as directed by management
- Conduct product quality checks and document/remove items that do not meet ASHE Society standards
- Immediately report any signs of loss, diversion, or theft
- Record and track all facility waste in accordance with state regulations
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and assist with reconciliation
- Accurately label products, update pricing, and upload images/descriptions for online menus
- Restock the sales floor daily to maintain product availability
- Support sales floor organization for efficiency and accessibility
- Maintain compliant storage, proper product rotation, labeling, and secure handling
- Keep all inventory areas clean, organized, and compliant at all times
- Provide basic cannabis product information when supporting staff or customers
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid identification to work in the United States
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar or related industry (inventory, warehouse, retail, cannabis, etc.)
- Comfortable using technology, inventory software, and MS Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Knowledge of and passion for the cannabis industry (preferred)
- METRC or cannabis inventory experience is a plus, but training can be provided
