Position Overview
The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, compassionate care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate recovery. This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition
- Support patients and families throughout the childbirth and recovery process
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
- Respond effectively to high-acuity and emergency situations
- Promote a safe, patient-centered care environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
- Certification:
- Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 6 months
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of Labor & Delivery or relevant nursing experience preferred

Employment Requirements
