Job Description: Ceramics / Pottery Instructor
Ashcan Studio of Art (ashcanclay.com) is a premier art learning center, established in 2006 in New York City. We provide high-quality art education to a diverse community of students, ranging from pre-K to high school and beyond, including those preparing for college-level art programs.
Our faculty is committed to nurturing curiosity, encouraging creative exploration, and fostering both artistic and academic growth in our students.
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Pottery Instructor to join our team at our Syosset campus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in wheel-throwing techniques (hand-building experience a plus)
- Experience teaching teens and/or adults in a studio or classroom setting
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work well with a team
- Passion for teaching in a creative environment
- 1–2 week paid training provided
