What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Ashburn Sterling Internal Medicine & Pediatrics?
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physicians and manager. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
Requirements:
- Certification as Medical Assistant or Registered as Medical Assistant.
- COVID –19 Vaccination approved exemption status
- Provide a high level of customer service to patient’s, patient’s families and other employees
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work as a team and independently
- Ability to multitask
Responsibilities: Works as part of a team to ensure patients receive exceptional patient care
- Providing clinic support as needed
- Obtaining patient vitals
- Administering vaccinations to children & adults
- Assisting the physician with general patient care and medical coding
- Maintain and keep updated all medical records and documentations.
- Preparing, cleaning and stocking exam rooms.
- Purchasing and ordering of medical supplies.
- Performing EKG
- In-house testing such as strep, COVID-19, flu and urinalysis
- Assists Office Manager with front desk duties.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
