Information Technology Network Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time to full-time, on-site only role for an Information Technology Network Engineer located in Irvine, CA. This role requires strong ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate product requirements into high-quality, production-ready web interfaces. Beyond front-end work, the engineer will participate in technical validation, device testing, basic network troubleshooting, and coordination with backend and product teams to ensure smooth delivery of our intelligent cloud and networking solutions.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA, and the technical team to build user-facing interfaces, validate system functionality, and help solve real-world technical issues during development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Engineering & System Coordination

• Support engineering tasks such as device testing, functional verification, and simple troubleshooting
• Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure system compatibility
• Assist in validating product workflow during development, testing, and user acceptance
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system-level technical problems, proposing feasible improvement plans

Front-End Development

• Develop, implement, and maintain web application front-end features based on product specifications
• Participate in requirement analysis, interface design, component development, and documentation
• Ensure front-end code quality through testing, optimization, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences

Operations & Troubleshooting

• Monitor the stability of product features during production and testing phases
• Provide timely response to technical issues involving development, testing, or IT-related components
• Support internal IT operations such as basic network device checks or simple configuration tasks
• Assist the engineering department with additional technical tasks when required

Job Requirements

Network Qualifications

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN)
• Experience in device testing, hardware verification, or system integration
• Ability to assist with IT-related tasks (network checks, device setup, simple troubleshooting)
• Networking certifications such as:
• CCNA / CCNP / CCIE
• CompTIA Network
• JNCIA / JNCIP
• HCIA / HCIP
• Experience working in small technical teams or startup environments

Front-End Qualifications (preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related fields
• 1 year of experience in front-end development or relevant practical project experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework (Vue, React, etc.) and understanding of core principles
• Ability to collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and engineering teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure
• Clear logical thinking, strong communication skills, and a positive, proactive attitude

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $25–$38 based on experience
• Part-Time to Full-Time growth opportunity (3-6 months)
