Service & Controls Technician

About the RoleWe are growing our service department and looking for a hands‑on Service & Controls Technician who wants more than a traditional technician role.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious person to help build a service department—not just work in one—with a clear path toward a future Service Manager role as the department grows.
The right candidate enjoys troubleshooting equipment, building control panels, and working directly with customers, while also thinking about how work can be done better, faster, and more consistently.
- Service and repair of temperature control units and thermal systems
- Warranty and non‑warranty repair work for manufacturer partners
- Build electrical control panels from engineered drawings
- Perform in‑house and on‑site service calls (local travel)
- Document service work and support continuous improvement
- Help establish service workflows and best practices as the department grows
- Experience servicing industrial equipment with thermal or heating components
- Experience building or wiring industrial control panels
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently and with engineers
- Willing to handle hands‑on work while the department scales
- Interested in growing into a leadership role over time
- This is not a dead‑end technician job
- You’ll have real influence in shaping a growing department
- Clear path to a Service Manager role for the right person
- Mix of shop work, field service, and problem‑solving
