What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman/Supervisor position at ASH Developers?
A Foreman is responsible for the overall job site operations several residential building projects. The Foreman supervises all day to day activities to drive efficiency and ensure all requirements regarding safety, building and zoning codes, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Foreman responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Own and Drive the Schedule: Develop an efficient schedule and execution plan. Monitor day to day workings of subcontractors and any other workers on site to ensure goals and milestones are completed on time or earlier than then scheduled. Plan ahead and take into account the criticality of jobsite logistics. Pivot, redirect and adapt the schedule as needed to achieve overall completion goals.
- Audit daily work and tasks on every job site. Become familiar with all project plans and ensure subcontractor work is inline with proposals, plans and client vision.
- Communicate and Document: Communicate the schedule goals and plan of execution to all affected parties as needed. Lead weekly and/or daily meetings to ensure all parties have the information needed to complete their workload in the allotted amount of time. Document daily achievements and opportunities as well as any changes to the plan or schedule made in the field.
- Be Proactive and Adapt Quickly: Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, subcontractor proposals and subcontracts to be able to plan ahead and anticipate potential problems before they arise. Observe workers and progress within the day. Create contingency plans where you notice timing issues or errors arising to ensure the schedule and budget maintain integrity throughout the life of the project.
- Safety: Enforce safety requirements with all trades at all times. Safety starts and ends with the superintendent. Settile for nothing less than 100% adherence to safety standards at all times with all trades.
- Credibility: Through effective leadership and communication, establish solid, respectful relationships with everyone on the jobsite, owners and supervisors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Superintendent knowledge, skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Effective communication and ability to tailor a message to diverse audiences at multiple levels
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Superior ability to strategically plan ahead and create effective execution plans
- Ability adapt to changing situations quickly and effectively
- Team leadership and collaboration skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Buildertrend is a plus
- Abilty to effectively read and interpret construction drawings
- Comprehensive understanding of the phases of a construction project
- Extensive knowledge and respect of construction safety practices and ability to enforce safety practices at all times.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- 5-10 years experience in residential construction
- 2 years Foreman or Job Supervisor experience

Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
