Position Overview
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands-on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines)
- Support community integration, outings, and appointments
- Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development
- Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times
- Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV)
- Communicate effectively with families and office staff

Qualifications to be a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required)
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiving, or related experience preferred but not required
