Asden Management, a Real Estate Management Company, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to live on-site and handle all maintenance and unit turns at a beautiful multifamily residential apartment community located in East Orange, NJ.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lives at property and available for 24/7 emergency on-call service
- Respond to all maintenance service requests by tenants, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Perform all “make ready” tasks to prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs, cleaning and any other necessary tasks
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep of common areas, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community grounds
- Painting and sheet-rock repairs
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to all common areas and units
- Inspect grounds, buildings, and other common areas daily and ensure excellent curb appeal at all times
- Communicate and interact with staff and tenants in a courteous and professional manner at all times
Job requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience at a multi-family property required
- Must possess strong skills in carpentry, tiling, electrical, plumbing and appliances
- East Orange Superintendent License - contingent upon hire
- Black Seal Boiler License required
- Boiler license required
- 24 hour on-call
- Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
