What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASCP BOC Intern position at ASCP?
Job Summary:
The ASCP BOC Intern will focus on the digital, historical information housed in the BOC. They will organize and index files in various platforms (Teams, Docuware) in support of departmental archival priorities. Other responsibilities may include providing support for projects/programs. The intern must possess excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
The intern will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week for 8 weeks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Typing and performing data entry.
- Uploading digital files and data.
- Organizing and archiving records and documents.
- Using alphabetical and numerical systems to organize paper and electronic documents.
- Creating new files and providing needed information on forms and reports.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills (ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously).
- Attention to detail.

- Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
- Dedication to preserving information and materials.
- Adept at typing, word-processing, and data entry skills.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong computer and database management skills.
- Experience working with file-keeping software or cloud storage is a plus.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently.
Education and Experience:
- Current or recent undergraduate student.
