Position Overview
Seeking an enterprise-grade Oracle EPBCS Consultant with 7–10 years of experience to lead the design, custom scripting, and deployment of Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) applications. This local, 100% on-site role focuses on constructing advanced financial planning layouts, managing metadata configurations, and automating integrations across multi-cube Hyperion/EPM environments for major finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Application Design & Development: Architect and build high-performance EPBCS solutions, governing complex Block Storage Option (BSO) and Aggregate Storage Option (ASO) Essbase cubes, Data Maps, and high-speed Smart Push processes.
* Advanced Scripting & Automation: Author, test, and optimize complex Hyperion Business Rules, functional calculation scripts, and robust Groovy scripts to orchestrate dynamic data movements and validation gates.
* Data Integration & ETL Pipelines: Configure enterprise-level data interfaces using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Integration modules, Data Management/FDMEE pathways, and basic SQL routines.
* EPM-Automate Process Automation: Build, script, and maintain scheduled operations, security updates, and automated batch uploads using the EPM-Automate command-line utility.
* Reporting Architecture: Design, format, and deploy interactive financial forms, executive-ready dashboards, Financial Reporting (FR) packages, and optimized Smart View templates for senior finance stakeholders.
* System Testing & Release Management: Develop and execute detailed regression test cases, validate calculations against multi-company and multi-ledger systems, and manage migration packages between environments.
* Stakeholder Advisory & Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison to corporate finance leadership (CFOs, Controllers, VPs of Finance) to map complex budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements into scalable architectural blueprints.
Required Skillset
* Experience: 7–10 years of dedicated professional software development and design experience specializing in Oracle Hyperion EPM and EPBCS architectures.
* Core Scripting Languages: Deep, hands-on programming mastery utilizing Groovy Scripting for EPM, Essbase Calculation scripts, and advanced business rule logic.
* Integration & Metadata Platforms: Strong operational familiarity using Data Management (FDMEE) and Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS) / Data Relationship Management (DRM).
* Financial Domain Expertise: Advanced functional understanding of corporate financial statements, driver-based budgeting models, predictive forecasting, and complex multi-ledger consolidation patterns.
* Location Mandate: Candidate must be strictly local to the Tampa, FL metropolitan area to facilitate immediate onsite integration.
Preferred Qualifications
* Official Oracle EPM/EPBCS Certification.
* Prior consulting background with Big 4 firms or major global system integrators leading large-scale finance transformation implementations.
* Prior experience scripting basic database procedures in SQL and developing orchestration scripts on Unix/Linux platforms.
