Rate : $49/hr on W2
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM
- Work extensively with sequential files, batch, and online processing frameworks
- Support and enhance ACH processing systems, including client integrations such as PEP
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure complete understanding of features, impacted users, and system workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders
- Participate in agile ceremonies and follow DevOps best practices
- Contribute to modernization initiatives such as API enablement and mainframe integration
- Communicate technical processes and results clearly across teams
Must Skills:
- Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2 (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning), JCL, VSAM
- batch and online processing systems
- algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- troubleshoot and resolve production issues
