ASCI Federal Services (ASCI) is hiring an Equipment Operator to support operations at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) in Cherry Point, NC. In this role, you will safely transport aircraft parts, tooling, and materials across multiple facilities to support production schedules and maintain flight readiness. Your work directly supports aircraft readiness and mission success for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
This position is expected to support a first shift schedule. However, shift assignments may change based on operational needs or contract requirements. Overtime may be required.
ASCI has supported supply chain and operational programs for more than 20 years, with a strong focus on safety, accountability, and workforce stability. This position works closely with dispatch, shift managers, and operations personnel in a structured, team-oriented environment.
Position Responsibilities
The Equipment Operator provides route-based Mule Train services throughout the FRCE installation. Responsibilities include:
- Transport aircraft parts, components, calibrated tooling, and supplies between facilities
- Follow designated routes to ensure accountability and on-time delivery
- Communicate completion of assignments to dispatch via radio
- Secure and cover materials prior to transport
- Complete pre-trip inspections and required documentation
- Perform operational checks before use
- Maintain accurate activity logs
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely in accordance with site protocols and ASCI safety standards
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of motor vehicle operating experience
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- U.S. Citizenship (required for government site access)
- Ability to pass a government-administered background investigation
- Ability to obtain Electric Cart and Mule Tug certification within six (6) months of hire
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, climb, and work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds

- CDL (Class A or B)
- Passenger and Combination endorsements
- Forklift certification
- Oversize Load Escort certification
Hourly wage and benefits are determined in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
