What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Builder 3 position at Ascential Technologies?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand assembly requirements and specifications
- Assemble and integrate various mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components to build automated machines according to product specifications
- Install and align machine components ensuring proper fit and functionality
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of machine components, subassemblies, and complete systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with Engineers and other team members to identify and resolve technical issues during the machine assembly and testing process
- Interfaces with customers and vendors as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) as a Machine Builder, Machine Assembler, or similar role in manufacturing equipment
- Must be able to accurately read and interpret blue prints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and tools
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment with effective communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Must posses own hand tools
- Must have valid driver’s license and must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally at 20% or less per calendar year
- Frequently moves, lifts, transports, positions, and installs equipment and material greater than 20lbs
