- Fleet Sales Rep Development:
- Set territory objectives for individual Reps.
- Meet with individual Reps Bi-Weekly to conduct 1:1’s
- Set necessary expectation for individual Reps and hold Reps accountable for performance
- Measure individual Rep performance versus annual territory objectives
- Create annual goals for individual Rep to assist in the professional development of everyone on the team
- Hire, coach, mentor, and train new sales representatives
- Assist sales development process through 1:1 in-field efforts
- At least 50% of time spent in ride alongs and joint selling with team
- Continually coach Fleet Team on sales process and assist in winning new business
- Product Line Management:
- Lead and execute sales development strategies with in-field Sales Representatives
- Identify/communicate technical needs of customer
- Develop, execute and analyze intelligence activities (i.e. industry trends, etc.)
- New product development trends
- Field questions from sales representatives on product
- Profit, Margin and Business Management:
- Participate in the development, implementation, and communication of the financial commitments and goals for the Fleet & Indirect division and monitor the expenses
- Participate in day-to-day management and financial and goal review meetings for the Distribution Division
- Contribute in strategic long-term management, visioning and position of the entire company
- Participate in loaned equipment approval process
- Manage prices as dictated by the market and company defined margin expectations through Business Development group
- Build relationships with warehousing, dispatch and delivery teams
- Develop strong cross functional team in Wisconsin
- Foster and grow Wisconsin sales pipelines in heavy duty applications, targeting excavation/construction, trucking, paving & asphalt, waste/recycling, municipalities, agg, and any company that utilizes heavy duty lubricants and chemicals
- Marketing Programs for Fleet:
- Coordinate business development funds (BDF) allocation for Fleet marketing opportunities
- Market analysis - what’s happening in your business
- Association participation & administration
- Communicate sales promotions to sales representatives
- Coordination and application of supplier advertising/promotion programs
- Coordination and application of Ascentek advertising/promotions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- 5 years related sales and management experience
- Valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills related to pivot tables and data analysis
