Ascentec Engineering is hiring at our Dallas, Oregon facility.
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill Machinists to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and inspection of CNC Mills to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components in a fast-paced, AS9100 certified environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with prototype and low-to-mid volume production, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and quality.
Shifts Available
Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Weekend Night Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
The off shifts come with an industry leading hourly shift differential.
This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon facility and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Mills (Okuma, DMG) for precision machining of aerospace components.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Load and verify CNC programs; set and adjust work/tool offsets as needed.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.).
- Maintain dimensional accuracy within tolerances typically ±0.002” or tighter.
- Document and maintain setup sheets, inspection records, and production logs in accordance with AS9100 and internal quality procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and process inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure product conformance and continuous improvement.
- Follow all safety protocols, 5S standards, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Minimum 1–3 years of CNC Mill machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and machining best practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
- Trade school certification or formal machining training preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Machine shop environment with exposure to noise, coolant, and metal shavings.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 40 lbs.
- Must be flexible to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
- $18 to $32 per hour DOE and shift selected
