The Aerospace Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within the aerospace manufacturing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality assurance, compliance with industry regulations, and continuous process improvement. This role plays a critical part in aligning operational activities with strategic business objectives, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining customer satisfaction in a high-precision, deadline-driven environment.
This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production teams to meet daily manufacturing goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional departments including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production KPIs and generate regular reports to evaluate performance and drive accountability.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Partner with HR and leadership to recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Manage departmental budgets and contribute to cost control and profitability initiatives.
- Act as the primary operations point of contact for customer audits, internal reviews, and supplier performance assessments.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing health and safety policies and leading incident investigations when necessary.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and other aerospace industry standards.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities in a high-paced production setting.
- Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and drive performance.
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead change and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with defense or space program compliance.
- Manufacturing floor and office environment.
- May require occasional travel to suppliers, customers, or other company facilities.
- $100,000 to $125,000 per year DOE
