About the Role

The Sr. Director, Clinical Program Manager will have primary responsibility for the development and optimization of the integrated program strategy, providing leadership in collaboration with the program lead. The role involves coordination of the planning and tracking of activities such as drug supply, formulation development, preclinical work for indication expansion and patient selection, and supportive clinical pharmacology and toxicology studies. The role also involves significant contributions to organizational initiatives and external partnerships to ensure cross-functional alignment and execution of integrated development plans.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimization of the integrated program strategy
• Provide, in collaboration with the Clinical Program Leader, strategic leadership to the Clinical Program Team for the clinical development of therapeutics in the pipeline
• Drive, together with the Clinical Program Leader, the program strategy by planning and tracking activities, such as drug supply and formulation development, preclinical work for indication expansion and patient selection strategies, supportive clinical pharmacology and toxicology studies
• Lead and contribute to organizational initiatives and external partnerships
• Leads and contributes to task forces, ,sub-teams or broader cross-functional organizational initiatives
• Manage external partnerships with other Pharmaceutical/Biotech companies or academic institutions
• Achieve organizational alignment and seamless execution of the integrated development plan
• Accountable for the cross-functional alignment and organizational support of the integrated development plan by facilitating internal and external stakeholder management
• Drive the team's objective setting, prioritization, and tracking,g ensuring adherence to the development strategy and operational plan
• Assure ongoing optimization of program timelines and resource requirements
• Lead risk management and contingency planning, and monitor the implementation of risk mitigation strategies at the program level
• Enable high-performing teams and associates
• Foster team building, interactions, and collaboration, striving for high-performing clinical program teams
• Develop team members through coaching and mentoring
• Drive issue identification and resolution in alignment with the concerned line functions and the program team
• Ensure effective, proactive, and open communications within and across the program team to achieve transparency and clarity of program goals, progress, and issues
• Deputized as the Clinical Program Leader and spokesperson for the program team

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Ph.D., PharmD in Life Sciences or MBA with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in life science, and at minimum 8 years’ industry experience in drug development is Required
• Strong scientific background in Biology, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Several years of multi- and cross-functional leadership experience in international and multidisciplinary drug development teams
• Expert knowledge of the drug development process, incl. advanced knowledge of regulatory and business requirements. Oncology and clinical operations experience is a must.
• Advanced project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concerning priorities and self-management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for bridging between scientific and business participants, for negotiating timelines, and for effective international collaboration. Strong verbal communication and an expert in written communications
