School-Based Mental Health Therapist – Ozark, AR area

ABOUT ASCENT THERAPY
Ascent Therapy is a behavioral health program run by River Valley Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We were started by a clinician who was tired of seeing therapists burn out from high caseloads, high turnover, and organizations that put revenue ahead of clients. So we built something different:
- Capped caseloads, so you can actually do good clinical work
- Pay that is above market and transparent: you earn a percentage of what you bill, not a flat low hourly rate
- A flexible schedule that feels as close to private practice as it gets, without having to run the business side yourself
- Software we built ourselves to cut down on documentation headaches
- Leadership that answers your calls and cares how you are doing
THE ROLE
You will provide outpatient therapy to children and teens in schools in and around Ozark, AR, working alongside school staff, families, and the rest of the Ascent team. This position is 20–30 hours per week and can be structured as contract, part-time, or full-time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy for students on your school-based caseload
- Complete assessments and build treatment plans tailored to each client
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students
- Respond to crises when they come up and coordinate next steps
- Keep timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Follow HIPAA, ethical standards, and Arkansas licensure rules
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Current Arkansas license: LPC, LAC, LCSW, or LMSW (associate-level licenses welcome)
- Experience with children, adolescents, or families (school-based experience is a plus)
- Comfortable working independently across school sites
- Warm, dependable, and easy to work with
BENEFITS
- Flexible schedule
- Professional development assistance
- Capped caseloads and a supportive team
