I&E Specialist

Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced I&E Specialist. This position is located in Cambridge, OH and will report to the Superintendent – I&E.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining industrial control systems within our oil and gas production facilities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain ICS for oil and gas production processes, ensuring optimum safety of personnel and facilities while optimizing production
• Develop and program automation systems to improve production efficiencies and reduce downtime
• Document all changes to control configurations and hardware
• Maintain HMI build files and configurations
• Support construction crew and IE team through commissioning new pad builds
• Train IE team members on new control systems
• Oversee ICS projects by managing contractors and capital expenditures
• Other duties assigned as needed
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Must understand oil and gas production principles
• Possess the ability to analyze, evaluate, design, and optimize equipment, integrate systems to improve safety and increase production
• Possess the ability to critically think and problem solve
• Ability to work within a time sensitive environment
  
  

Education & Work Experience Required

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate of Science degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering. Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of Oil and Gas Production control systems (ROC800/ABB) experience
• Minimum 2 years HMI programming (Beijer preferred)

• Ability to be on feet for extended periods and easily move around piping and other equipment on location
