As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will help lead the day-to-day Engineering and Maintenance operations of the hotel. What You Will Do
- Supervise and support daily activities of the hotel Engineering and Maintenance team.
- Assign and prioritize maintenance work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform and oversee routine HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces for maintenance needs.
- Respond to guest and departmental maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor completion of work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and coordinate response efforts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, inspections, and documentation.
- Help monitor and maintain hotel equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.
- Support vendor coordination and follow up on outside repairs and service calls.
- Assist with property inspections, renovations, capital projects, and improvement initiatives.
- Train, coach, and support Maintenance team members on proper procedures and safety practices.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe Engineering work environment.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Partner with hotel leadership to identify recurring maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, building maintenance, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and basic technical documentation.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to train, coach, and support Maintenance team members.
- Hilton or hotel Engineering experience is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and emergency situations, as needed.
