About Ascent Health Solutions
Ascent Health Solutions delivers onsite Early Intervention and Industrial Athlete programs inside manufacturing and industrial environments.
We focus on reducing fatigue, improving movement quality, and preventing injuries before they occur — using a practical, field-driven approach rooted in sports medicine.
We build systems that employees trust, use, and come back to.
About the Role
We are hiring an Onsite Injury Prevention Specialist to lead an Early Intervention program inside a manufacturing facility.
This is not a clinic role.
This is an embedded, on-the-floor position focused on movement, fatigue management, and injury prevention.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct 1:1 Early Intervention appointments with employees
- Provide first-aid-level musculoskeletal support (non-clinical)
- Identify early signs of fatigue and discomfort before they escalate
- Assess movement patterns and job tasks to identify root causes of discomfort and inefficiencies
- Provide movement-based assessments to identify underlying contributors to discomfort and inefficiencies in how work is performed
- Deliver hands-on, first-aid-level soft tissue support within scope (manual techniques to reduce discomfort and improve movement tolerance)
- Coach movement, lifting, and postural mechanics
- Guide employees through simple, effective movement resets and recovery strategies
- Provide ergonomic cues at the task level to improve efficiency and reduce strain
- Deliver care that keeps employees working and prevents issues from progressing
- Build trust and relationships with employees on the floor
- Support a culture of early reporting and injury prevention
- Complete minimal documentation and communicate with Ascent leadership
What Makes This Role Different
- You are embedded in a real work environment — not a clinic
- You are focused on prevention, not treatment
- You actively engage employees — you are not waiting for patients
- You operate with high autonomy and ownership
- You are part of a structured, managed system (not just filling hours)
- No insurance billing, productivity quotas, or clinic-style documentation
- You have the opportunity to build long-term relationships and create meaningful change over time, not just treat and discharge
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or field-based environments
- Familiarity with ergonomics, repetitive motion, and job task demands
- Comfortable working directly on the production floor
- Experience with early intervention or injury prevention is a plus
- Strong movement assessment skills with the ability to identify underlying contributors to discomfort
- Experience with manual therapy techniques (e.g., ART or similar soft tissue approaches) within scope
Preferred Credentials
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) – Strongly Preferred
- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
Must hold current, active licensure (in Oregon) or certification in their respective field and be in good standing
Ideal Candidate
- Highly approachable and able to build trust quickly
- Comfortable working with a manufacturing / blue-collar workforce
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy
- Strong movement and musculoskeletal awareness
- Coaching mindset, not treatment-focused
- Confident in decision-making and escalation
Schedule & Structure
- ~20 hours per week
- Weekday schedule (flexible within reason)
- Consistent onsite presence expected
Compensation
- $50/hour
- 1099 contractor
- $1,000 signing bonus after 30 days
- Potential for additional hours / sites over time
