Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress and behavior patterns accurately and consistently
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and skill acquisition
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, educators, and families to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and goals
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on best practices in behavioral health, special education, and behavior management
Requirements
- No Prior experience needed. Training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement teaching strategies effectively
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan implementation preferred
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with clients’ families and multidisciplinary teams
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed in their personal growth journeys
- Must be able to adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of all medical records and sensitive information
