Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, primarily using applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that fosters independence and improves quality of life. Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress and behavior patterns accurately and consistently
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and skill acquisition
• Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, educators, and families to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and goals
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on best practices in behavioral health, special education, and behavior management

Requirements

• No Prior experience needed. Training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods
• Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement teaching strategies effectively
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan implementation preferred
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with clients’ families and multidisciplinary teams
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed in their personal growth journeys
• Must be able to adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of all medical records and sensitive information

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
