Pay Range

$38.00 to $40 per hour (dependent on years of experience and shifts worked)

Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital is Nashville's Leading behavioral health treatment center and is a 90-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital that provides a full continuum of behavioral health treatment services for adults from 18-64 and Seniors 65 and older.

Essential Functions

• Provide education about the ECT procedure and obtain a level of understanding from the patient and family.
• Work within the treatment team to provide pre-treatment assessment, treatment monitoring and post-anesthesia recovery management for patients and assure the smooth flow of patients through the ECT process.
• Participate in development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the overall function of the clinical area including the ECT Suite.
• Use multiple data sources to determine actual/potential health issues, functional status and safety concerns.
• Communicate patient’s condition and need for altered care with treatment team.
• Establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiates and continues pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation and EKG monitoring throughout treatment and recovery.
• Demonstrate safe, accurate and timely monitoring of cardiac and respiratory status and promote interventions that provide the least-restrictive and safest recovery.
  
  

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

• Current RN License as required by state.
• Current ACLS certification and Current IV Certification required.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
