Position: Contract Recruiter (1099)
Location: Iowa (remote with occasional onsite/travel as needed)
Schedule: 10–40 hours per week (hours will fluctuate based on hiring needs and facility openings)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

General Description
The Contract Recruiter is responsible for driving full-cycle recruitment across clinical, medical, and operational roles to support new facility launches and ongoing staffing needs. This role operates as a strategic recruiting partner to leadership—ensuring hiring targets are met with urgency and quality.
This is an ideal role for a recruiter who values flexibility, autonomy, and performance-based work, and can ramp up or down based on business demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles, including:
- Clinical (Therapists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners)
- Operations (Admissions, Techs, Leadership)
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines aligned to hiring forecasts
- Source candidates through direct outreach, job boards, referrals, and networking
- Conduct candidate screenings and coordinate interview processes
- Partner with hiring leaders to align on role requirements, timelines, and hiring strategy
- Drive candidate engagement and manage offer processes through close
- Maintain accurate tracking of candidates, pipeline activity, and hiring progress
- Ensure all hiring documentation and processes align with company standards
- Adjust workload and availability based on hiring demand and project timelines
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of recruiting experience (healthcare or high-volume preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
- Strong sourcing and outreach capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a contract environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting in behavioral health, SUD, or healthcare environments
- Experience supporting new facility openings or rapid growth organizations
- Familiarity with ATS systems (BambooHR, ADP, or similar)
- Understanding of clinical roles and credentialing requirements
