Position Summary
R.D. Graham is seeking an Electrical Estimator, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects. This role analyzes drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine labor, material, and time requirements, helping ensure projects are bid competitively and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed cost estimates
- Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems (power, lighting, low voltage, etc.)
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Prepare and submit complete bid packages within deadlines
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams
- Maintain accurate cost databases and historical records
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Assist with project handoff to operations after award
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in electrical estimating
- Knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical field experience (electrician, foreman, or similar)
- Experience with design-build projects
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
