What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contemporary Worship Leader Guitar or Piano position at Ascension Lutheran Church?
Ascension Lutheran Church in Littleton is seeking a Contemporary Worship Leader to direct its praise band. Our praise band plays and sings on Sundays, September thru May, at the 10:30am service, with 10 Sundays off including Christmas and Easter. 1 years of experience leading worship services preferred. Self-starter who strives for quality. Ability to read music and put it into singable keys for the congregation. Can skillfully play a lead instrument (guitar or keyboard) in the worship band and sing. Ability to perform on that instrument using just a lead line with chords. Quality singing voice for leading songs in worship and teaching songs in rehearsal. Skilled in giving vocal and instrumental direction. Compensation is $1,500 per month for nine months with extra pay for occasional summer Sundays.
