RN MDS Coordinator - Full-time - 1.0 FTE - Day Shift - Skilled Nursing & Rehab - Alexian Village of Milwaukee

You are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid out in 3 equal installments. $1,000 will be paid out at 30 days, $1,000 at 90 days, and $1,000 at 180 days of employment.

What You Will Do

As an RN MDS Coordinator, you will collect data for use in determining care plans, compliance with treatment norms and privacy standards, and in supplying information to third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of patient charts and medical data. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local standards and regulations for long-term care, such as those for certification, licensure and accreditation, Medicare, and state Medicaid
  • Participate in all aspects of the CMS survey process including pre-survey preparation, actual survey, and post-survey plan of correction when requested. Promotes survey preparedness at all times
  • Train individuals to develop a comprehensive care plan for facility residents in coordination with the MDS that accurately addresses the needs of residents
  • Other tasks as assigned

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required

Education

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
