What are the responsibilities and job description for the Immigration Paralegal position at Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search?
Qualified candidates will have a minimum 5 years of immigration paralegal experience. This position will support the firm’s immigration practice in a busy downtown office.
Qualified candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish), demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, initiative, flexibility, organizational skills, customer service skills and the ability to be proactive. Qualified candidates must also possess mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as knowledge and 2 years’ experience using electronic document management systems and immigration case management software. Filesite experience is preferred.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation and filing of nonimmigrant visa petitions, including but not limited to H-1B, individual and L-1 Blanket L-1, TN, O-1, E-2 and E-3
- Preparation and filing of immigrant visa petitions, including EB-1 Extraordinary Ability; EB-1 Priority Worker petitions; EB-2 and EB-3 petitions and EB-5 petitions
- Preparation and filing of Naturalization applications; re-entry permit applications and abandonment applications
- Preparation and filing of Labor Certification Applications under the PERM program
- Preparation and filing of family-based petitions
