Job Description
The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the primary facilities professional for
Ascension Episcopal School's Upper School campus at Sugar Mill Pond. This
position is responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, appearance, and
operational readiness of the campus while serving as the campus lead for
maintenance operations.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Lead Maintenance Technician performs
skilled maintenance work, coordinates daily campus work orders, assists in
preventive maintenance, and helps oversee projects assigned to the Upper School
campus. This individual leads by example through a visible, hands-on presence and
serves as the first point of contact for routine campus maintenance needs.
The Lead Maintenance Technician supports the Facilities Manager by helping
ensure the Upper School campus consistently reflects Ascension's commitment to
excellence, stewardship, safety, and hospitality.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certifications preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in commercial, institutional, or school maintenance.
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
Experience using maintenance management or work-order software preferred (FMX experience a plus).
Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, tools, lifts, and utility vehicles.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
