Cultivation/Production Technician - Cannabis

Job description:

As a Cultivation/Production Technician, you will work to efficiently manicure, harvest, trim and package plant material, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. In this role you will be involved in plant work, cleaning, and harvest activities daily. As an employee of Ascension, you will be responsible for upholding and remaining within the guidance of the company’s standard operating procedures, operational guidelines, and direction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE

Post-Harvest

• Bucking Cannabis from plant material
• Harvesting plants
• Preparing and hanging freshly cut branches for initial drying during harvest day
• Daily burping of product to ensure quality always
• Sit for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming with a steady pace
• Hand trim flower from plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring a quality product

Flower Rooms

• Pruning and defoliating plants
• Trellising of the plant canopy
• Stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented pruning and defoliating
• Be able to work under high temperature and humidity with excessive lighting

Vegetative and Mother Room

• Transplanting of plants
• Transferring plants from the Vegetative room to the Flower room
• Pruning and defoliating plants

Cleaning

• Cleaning is 50% of the work
• Cleaning of floors, including, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Cleaning of all equipment and hand tools
• Regular cleaning of plant rooms
• Cleaning all harvest and post-harvest areas
• Trash removal of waste created in any room
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Requires some variable hours and extended hours to meet the needs of the business

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Must be 21 years and older.

Must pass a background check through FBI/BCI and approved by State of Ohio.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
