Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Trial Attorney to join a fast-paced plaintiff’s personal injury practice, with a strong focus on motor vehicle and trucking accident litigation. This role is ideal for a highly motivated litigator who thrives in the courtroom, takes ownership of cases, and has a proven record of serving as first chair at trial.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from intake through verdict
- Act as first chair trial counsel in jury trials
- Conduct depositions of parties, experts, and corporate representatives
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions
- Develop case strategy, theme, and trial presentation
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel
- Work collaboratively with support staff, experts, and firm leadership
- Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure exceptional client service
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience litigating plaintiff-side personal injury cases
- Substantial experience handling motor vehicle and trucking accident cases
- First-chair trial experience required (jury trial experience preferred)
- Active license and good standing with the state bar
- Strong courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice
- Strong work ethic with a results-driven mindset
