Senior Accountant
Location: Miami, FL (On-site / Hybrid)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Miami. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong technical accounting foundation, preferably with Big 4 public accounting experience and an active CPA certification (or in progress).
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, gain exposure to complex accounting matters, and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.)
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required (or actively pursuing)
- 3–6 years of accounting experience, with prior Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
