Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions for our Miami operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR professional with strong experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to support business objectives while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and employment matters.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Administer employee benefits, leave of absence programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Manage employee performance review processes, coaching, disciplinary actions, and employee development programs.
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
- Coordinate payroll with the Payroll department or external payroll provider to ensure accurate employee records and compensation changes.
- Support compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and annual merit review processes.
- Monitor compliance with EEOC, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, I-9, E-Verify, and other employment regulations.
- Develop employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and training opportunities.
- Generate HR metrics and reports for executive leadership.
- Participate in organizational planning and strategic HR initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Experience managing benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance.
- Strong recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, UKG, Workday, BambooHR, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location operations is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
