Position Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with strategically important customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales growth, and identifying opportunities to expand business partnerships. The KAM collaborates cross-functionally with operations, marketing, finance, and customer service teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture trusted relationships with major clients, serving as their main point of contact for all business needs and inquiries.
- Understand each client’s business goals, challenges, and industry trends to deliver value-added solutions and services.
- Manage the entire sales cycle for key accounts—from identifying opportunities to negotiation, contract renewal, and after-sales support.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales support, operations, logistics, finance) to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
- Monitor account performance metrics, analyze sales data, and prepare reports on account status, forecasts, and growth opportunities.
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and new business development opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Develop strategic account plans to drive long-term growth and strengthen customer loyalty.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular communication, business reviews, and proactive issue resolution.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Stay up to date on market conditions, competitors, and emerging trends to inform business strategy.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue growth, account retention, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA a plus).
- 3–7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development (experience managing key or strategic accounts preferred).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and managing complex client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and financial data.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
