Security Agent - Cultivation -1st Shift

Job Summary

The Security Agent – Cultivation is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, customers, employees, and facilities. On-site Security personnel will ensure strict adherence to all security protocols, procedures, and controls. The Security Agent – Cultivation is responsible for ensuring the overall security of the facility or facilities.

Full Time – Tuesday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm & Saturday 7:30am – 4:00pm

Pay - $20.50/hour

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure the safety of personnel and protection of company assets and products
• Monitoring of security systems to ensure serviceability and operability on a daily basis
• Assist with monthly equipment checks of security equipment and systems
• Participate or coordinate fire drills, and building evacuations and life safety drills
• Assist with implementation of security policy, procedure, and protocols
• Investigate suspicious activity and document in clear methodical manner
• Coordinate safe and compliant movement of product and assets within the facility

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Registered Agent Card or equivalent state credentials
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings and background checks
• Demonstrated understanding of, or willingness to learn, cannabis industry compliance standards including packaging, labeling, and product safety regulations
• Demonstrated self-defense, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Effective team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while responding to changing priorities and feedback
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and identify, report, and address unsafe conditions or equipment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
• Physical demands - May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (200 pounds with assistance)

Preferred Job Requirements

• Law Enforcement or Security experience
• Previous work in a licensed cannabis packaging, trimming, or post-harvest department
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or similar GMP/regulated environment
