The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Ensures data integrity, consistency, and accuracy through proper application of accounting principles and adherence to relevant regulations, including GAAP, and other healthcare-specific guidelines.
- Assists with the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
- Prepares and posts journal entries, analyzes account balances for variances, reconciles various financial transactions, general ledger balances, financial records and reports.
- Assists in the development and manages budgets and participates in strategic financial planning.
- Prepares and analyzes financial statements, reports, and performance metrics.
- Participates in both internal and external financial audits, as needed.
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Qualifications
- 5 years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA preferred
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management system/practice management system, MedEvolve.
- Knowledge of accounting software system, NetSuite.
- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, and cash flow
