Position Overview

Ascend Technologies Group is seeking a Marketing Manager to support its life sciences partner, MiBA (Meaningful Insights Biotech Analytics). This role will execute MiBA’s marketing strategy across all channels, driving brand growth, visibility, and engagement within the oncology data analytics space.


The Marketing Manager will oversee social media management, content creation, branding, conference marketing, and event/conference operations. This position will also manage external marketing agencies and vendors while coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and brand consistency.


This role requires a blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, and operational excellence to strengthen MiBA’s market presence and elevate its brand across all touch-points.


Key Responsibilities1. Social Media & Content Creation
  • Develop and execute MiBA’s social media strategy to increase engagement, awareness, and audience growth across all platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Create, edit, and publish compelling digital content - including graphics, videos, blogs, and promotional materials - that align with MiBA’s brand voice and messaging.
  • Monitor analytics and optimize content performance through data-driven insights.
  • Manage the social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting and brand alignment.
2. Branding & Communications
  • Maintain and evolve MiBA’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications, marketing materials, and digital channels.
  • Partner with Ascend Technologies Group and internal MiBA stakeholders to develop messaging that reflects MiBA’s mission, values, and market positioning.
  • Develop internal branding initiatives that enhance employee engagement and company culture.
  • Oversee design and production of branded materials (brochures, signage, email campaigns, presentations, etc.).
  • Manage and update the MiBA intranet to support internal team communication.
3. Marketing Campaigns & Agency Oversight
  • Serve as the primary liaison between MiBA and external marketing agencies or contractors, ensuring deliverables meet brand and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, lead generation, and engagement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure strong ROI on marketing initiatives.
4. Conference & Event Management
  • Project-manage and coordinate all aspects of commercial conference planning and logistics, including content development, event branding, speaker coordination, vendor management, and on-site execution.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams (Ascend and MiBA) to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Develop and manage conference marketing materials, digital campaigns, and post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain timelines, task lists, and communication flow across all internal and external stakeholders.
5. Analytics, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze marketing performance across campaigns, channels, and events.
  • Prepare regular reports summarizing results, insights, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility, lead quality, and audience engagement.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, branding, or communications.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven success developing and executing social media and content strategies.
  • Experience planning or managing conferences, trade shows, or large-scale corporate events.

  • Proficient in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, social scheduling tools).

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and brand alignment.


Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)

Objective 1: Increase MiBA’s brand awareness in the oncology data analytics sector.

  • Grow social media followers by 20% year-over-year across key platforms.
  • Achieve an average engagement rate of at least 4% per post.
  • Secure 5 external placements or mentions in industry trade publications or blogs in the next 12 months.

Objective 2: Elevate MiBA’s conference presence and lead generation from events.

  • Execute three key commercial conferences and the annual MiBA Summit without major logistical issues.
  • Generate qualified leads from all event attendance and follow-up activities.
  • Achieve a post-event satisfaction score of 90% across internal stakeholders and external attendees/vendors.

Objective 3: Ensure consistent and high-quality brand and content delivery.

  • Publish a minimum of four thought-leadership pieces per quarter (press releases, white papers, long-form blog posts).
  • Maintain brand asset integrity with fewer than 2% brand-compliance errors across all external materials.
  • Improve content production efficiency, reducing time-to-publish of major pieces by 20% year-over-year.
