Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct a variety of group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, and dance-based routines
- Design tailored fitness programs that align with individual client needs and goals
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure safe practice through hands-on guidance
- Motivate clients with energetic coaching, positive reinforcement, and personalized feedback
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures
- Conduct assessments of client fitness levels using biomechanics, anatomy, physiology knowledge, and body mechanics principles
- Support the sales process by promoting membership options, personal training packages, and specialized classes
Experience
- Proven experience in delivering group fitness classes across multiple disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, cycling, or sports coaching
- Strong background in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to ensure effective program design and safe instruction
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation required; additional certifications like First Aid preferred
- Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques that foster engagement and confidence
- Experience working within health clubs or fitness facilities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with fitness sales strategies and customer service excellence to enhance client retention and satisfaction
- Prior experience with heavy lifting, manual handling techniques, and teaching exercise routines safely in diverse settings
