Job Summary

In this maintenance role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, equipment, electrical components, and plant systems. You will work in a production environment where safety, accuracy, and dependable attendance are important every day. Daily tasks may include diagnosing equipment issues, replacing worn parts, repairing wiring, maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and assisting with facility repairs. A strong fit has mechanical and electrical knowledge, can read blueprints and schematics, and uses a systematic approach to solving problems. Clear communication with team leads, operators, and other maintenance employees will help you succeed in this position.

• Compensation: $22 per hour

• Shift: 8:30 pm - 6:30 am

Required Qualifications

• Two years’ experience and/or education in installation and repair of 110, 220, and 440 3-phase electrical systems

• Two years’ experience and/or education with machine controls, including PLCs and CNC controls

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Systematic troubleshooting skills for equipment and machinery issues

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear while performing job duties

• Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

• Ability to occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds

• Basic ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment

• Experience listening for unusual machine sounds and helping diagnose equipment malfunctions

• Experience dismantling defective machines, inspecting parts, and replacing worn or defective components

• Familiarity with cleaning, lubricating, realigning, and adjusting shafts, bearings, gears, spindles, and clutches

• Experience installing and repairing electrical apparatus, wiring, and electronic machine components

• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic pipe systems, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators

• Experience installing, programming, or repairing automated machinery, robots, or programmable controllers

• Experience repairing and maintaining the physical structure of a plant or facility

• Experience operating cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

• Experience fabricating or repairing counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures

• Regular and predictable attendance in a production or maintenance environment

• Willingness to perform other related maintenance duties as assigned
