Now Hiring - Volunteer Supervisor

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 PM

The Volunteer Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assists with recruiting and training activities for the department.
• Participates in presentations and marketing of the volunteer program
• Assists with volunteer interviews, reference checks and initial volunteer screening
• Provides ongoing support of the volunteers to enhance recruitment and retention of volunteers to meet hospice's needs
• Orients new volunteers to facilities and homes
• Assists with the preparation of monthly volunteer timesheets and volunteer notes
• Schedules and conducts volunteer training
• Assists in the supervision of the volunteers.
• Follows through with visits and calls as needed to promote their comfort level and provide support
• Provide ongoing support and recognition for volunteers through telephone calls and visits
• Completes yearly supervisory visits of volunteers
• Schedules time in a flexible manner to accommodate volunteers' time
• Identifies and reports any and all infractions of volunteers, with regard to legal parameters, confidentiality and boundary issues
• Organizes and works with volunteers for health fairs and events
• Handles other office duties.
• Completes filing, typing and mailings and computer work as assigned
• Assists with preparation of the volunteer newsletter
• Attends team meetings as necessary for volunteer participation

Education:

Associate's Degree in a related field

Professional Experience:

• Preferably 2-4 years
• experience in a related capacity
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable source of transportation
• Must be willing to travel
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
