Responsible for monitoring daily client activities and ensuring the interim housing facility operates smoothly and efficiently during day, evening, and overnight shifts. Maintains health, safety, and sanitation standards by keeping a clean, safe, and healthy environment for both residents and staff. Addresses any issues or conflicts using trauma-informed care principles. Communicates effectively with the Case Manager, Residential Associate Supervisor, and Manager of Expansion Programs by completing daily shift reports, incident reports, and facilitating client grievances to support a cohesive, client-focused approach.

Reports To

Resident Associate Supervisor


Duties and Responsibilities

Day and Evening Shifts

  • Demonstrate good judgment and maintain composure under trauma-informed care principles

  • Maintain consistent communication by completing daily shift reports, incident reports, and client grievance forms

  • Conduct daily room checks and supervise facility grounds

  • Report urgent client issues to the Supervisor or Manager immediately

  • Ensure the safety of clients, staff, and facility by contacting paramedics or law enforcement as needed

  • Engage in and supervise client activities including meals, hygiene, and general interactions

  • Assist with meal service as needed

  • Coordinate laundry and shower schedules

  • Perform daily cleaning of kitchen, dining area, laundry facilities, restrooms, and shower areas

  • Remove trash from facility areas

  • Report equipment or structural repair needs

  • Complete site maintenance and other duties as assigned

Overnight Shift

  • Fulfill all applicable responsibilities from the Day and Evening shifts

  • Oversee the interim housing facility during overnight hours

  • Address emergent or unanticipated client needs

  • Contact appropriate emergency services to ensure safety when required

  • Ensure restrooms are fully stocked

  • Wash, dry, and restock all linens daily

  • Complete overnight site maintenance and other assigned duties


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience working in homeless or comparable social service programs

  • Ability to actively listen and apply trauma-informed care and conflict resolution strategies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Light facilities maintenance experience preferred

  • Physically able to lift and carry supplies and perform cleaning and manual labor tasks

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable but not required


Physical Working Conditions

  • Some travel to field locations required; must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance at required levels

  • Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Frequent use of computers, keyboards, and phones
