Summary: The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations while fostering a positive, respectful, and high-performance work environment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise (equipment setup and troubleshooting) with strong people leadership, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. The Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact on the production floor, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring full compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support production team members with a positive attitude, promoting engagement, respect, and accountability.
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Perform and verify line setup, changeovers, and equipment readiness prior to production start.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and support maintenance when required.
- Ensure strict compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and batch record requirements.
- Train, coach, and develop operators on processes, equipment setup, and best practices. Communicate clear expectations, priorities, and performance feedback to the team.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Verify proper documentation, including batch records and in-process checks.
- Escalate quality deviations, safety concerns, or operational issues in a timely manner.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, including PPE compliance and safe behaviors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, TPM).
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready production floor at all times.
Experience & Qualificatios:
- Minimum 3 years in food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or dietary supplement manufacturing.
- At least 1–2 years in a Team Lead or supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with equipment setup, line changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of cGMPs and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with batch records and production documentation.
Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- cGMP or HACCP training certification desirable Skills
- Positive leadership style with ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as reaching, bending, and manual handling.
- Work in temperature-controlled production areas with exposure to machinery and moderate noise levels.
- Must wear required PPE (smocks, lab coats, gloves, hairnets, etc.)
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
