AscellaHealth is looking for a Full Stack / DevOps Engineer to join our IT team at AscellaHealth. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, deploying, and supporting the applications and infrastructure that are core to our business. The role combines hands-on application development with DevOps ownership, ensuring solutions are built efficiently and released reliably.
This is a practical, delivery-focused position. The right candidate is comfortable working across the stack, enjoys solving complex problems, and understands that strong automation and operational discipline are just as important as writing good code. You should be confident working in an Agile environment and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position based in Berwyn, PA, at AscellaHealth's headquarters, with an expectation of three days onsite per week. Occasional after-hours support may be required for production releases or critical incidents.

What the position will be doing
- Works with stakeholders to understand requirements and solve complex problems with the appropriate solution.
- Delivers quality software through estimation of tasks, design and implementation of efficient/secure code, completion of unit tests/code reviews.
- Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into thoughtful technical solutions.
- Design and build full-stack applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end components.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and work with relational databases to support business processes.
- Write clean, secure, and maintainable code supported by the appropriate testing and peer review.
- Provide accurate task estimates and meet agreed delivery timelines.
- Build and maintain Ci/CD Pipelines to support consistent and reliable deployments.
- Manage code promotion across development, test and production environments.
- Supports the development team by debugging/fixing issues, facilitating code promotion through environments, and establishing streamlined processes for software delivery.
- Builds, maintains, and extends DevOps technology solutions to assist developers.
- Manages troubleshooting, support, and resolution of production issues related to bespoke code or core Ascella infrastructure.
- Remain up to date on emerging trends and technology offerings within the DevOps community
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs
- Bachelor's degree, or 4-year equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6 or more years of DevOps and technical support experience
- Proven experience managing on-premise and cloud Linux and Microsoft infrastructure
- Proficient in DevOps technologies like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Azure DevOps
- Proficient in managing both Linux and Windows server environments
- Proven project management experience with distributed teams using agile methodology
- Proven experience working with development and product teams to deliver on the corporate roadmap
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems
- Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and with clients, customers, and vendors
- Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of one's own responsibilities
- Ability to provide direction and motivation and set an example through open communication and modeling best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
