Founded in 1993, ASC English has supported thousands of international students in achieving their academic and professional goals through high-quality English language instruction. We are now expanding to the Quincy College Plymouth Campus and seeking dedicated Part-Time ESL Instructors to join our new instructional team. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 5:15 PM – 9:45 PM (up to 18 hours per week) with paid prep time.
Position Summary
ASC English instructors lead engaging, communicative English classes that help students build both language skills and cultural competencies. Instructors are expected to create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and measurable language progress. The essence of this role is to be a supportive, encouraging educator with a respectful and engaging teaching style.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize lessons using assigned textbooks and supplemental materials
- Establish a comfortable, communicative classroom environment
- Deliver content dynamically and professionally
- Maintain accurate attendance and student performance records
- Provide timely feedback and conduct monthly assessments
- Complete student progress reports every two months
- Attend monthly professional development meetings
- Support student engagement and retention through open houses and other activities
- Suggest or lead after-school enrichment events
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or MATESOL
- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate (must include observed lessons)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to plan lessons effectively and manage time well
- Prefer overseas teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and intercultural learning
